An accountability court on Saturday has sentenced six people in the National Insurance Corporation Limited (NICL) land scam case to prison.
According to details, former Chairman of NICL Ayaz Khan Niazi and five others have been sent to jail for seven years each. The court also declared all the accused disqualified for any public office for next ten years.
The convicts were involved in causing loses of Rs490 million to the national exchequer by purchasing land at higher prices.
